hello
I write essays about literature, history, art and architecture, cities, women, culture, and politics; a selection of my published writing is available on this site. I'm the assistant editor at Lapham's Quarterly (where I was previously an Andrew Mellon Foundation Editorial Fellow) as well as a content writer and editor for Nearpod, an interactive classroom learning tool for students. Previously I was a fact-checker at The New Republic and Guernica Magazine, and a culture reporter for Untapped Cities. For four years I worked as a part-time research assistant to author and journalist Gay Talese. I have an M.A. in cultural reporting and criticism from NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism School.
